WWS Launch Scottish Wake Series

Waterski & Wakeboard Scotland are thrilled to announce the first ever Scottish Wake Series for the 2017 season. The series incorporates three well-established competitions in the Scottish wakeboard calendar and sees the creation of a brand new competition at the National Training Site, Dunfermline. The purpose of the competition is to crown an overall Scottish Champion and to identify talent for a Scottish Development Team, to be founded for the 2018 season.

The first competition on the calendar takes place at the National Training Site, Dunfermline on the 14th May. Series sponsors Scotland Nautique are providing a Nautique GS22 to tow all riders, plus pro rider Matt Crowhurst will be amongst the judges.

Round 2 is Loch Stock, Scotland’s premier boat wakeboard competition at Loch Lomond Wakeboard, on the 16th-18th June (competition day 18th). 12th August sees the first cable competition of the series at Foxlake Adventures, followed by the series finale at Glasgow Wake Park on 24th September.

Anyone with a Scottish postcode is eligible for the series – although this is not a prerequisite for entry into the individual competitions. Competition categories are: U12; U14; U16; Novice; Open Men’s; Open Women’s; Men’s Masters; Women’s Masters. By entering 3 of the 4 series, riders will automatically be entered into the competition.
