29 May WWS COVID-19 Guidelines
We are pleased to be able to tell you that the guidelines we have produced for Scottish waterski and wakeboard clubs and participants have now been approved by sportScotland and the Scottish Government – you can find them at http://www.waterskiandwakeboardscotland.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/COVID-19-WWS-Guidelines-v1.0-FINAL.pdf. Following these guidelines will mean that it may be possible for some clubs and venues to re-start activities (check the position with your local club). Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of participants and staff/volunteers is the key priority. It’s important that we all remember we are still in the midst of a public health crisis and lockdown measures are still in place. Please follow the Scottish Government Guidelines – particularly on social distancing, travel and shielding – the WWS guidelines and the specific operating procedures implemented by your club. Please note: a further announcement specific to activities starting at National Training Site (in line with these guidelines) will be issued very soon.
We are looking forward to seeing you back on the water soon – but most importantly please stay safe.
